What to wear or bring:
Due to much lower temperatures at the summit, you should dress in layers, warm and comfortable, since as you head down the mountain, temperatures will rise again.
Bring your battery-charged camera or phone with plenty of memory for your pictures.
You should also bring CASH or a CREDIT CARD for gratuity to your guide so you can purchase a meal at the meal stop.
If you realize you cannot miss the opportunity to visit the summit of Mount Haleakala and its moonlike craters, but getting up at 2 is just not an option, this tour gives you an amazing opportunity to view the sun setting from about 10,000 feet, and at the same time enjoy your well-deserved sleep. You can even sleep in or enjoy the morning sun at the beach or pool before embarking on this exclusive journey that will take you above the clouds.
Your tour begins as your Poly Ad guide welcomes you into their state-of-the-art minibus, where you will enjoy a relaxing ride without worrying about traffic, or worst, getting lost! You will ride along Maui shorelines until you begin the drive up the mountain. Your guide will narrate the entire tour and also show beautiful video footage through the vehicle’s monitors. There will be plenty of large windows too so that you won’t miss anything!
Don’t forget to dress warm, as temperatures at the summit drop on average 30 degrees, compared to the sea level temperatures. You will definitely “feel the jolt” of energy and exhilaration as you exit the bus on your way to the Visitor Center and crater viewing area.
You will be in awe of the size of the crater and its similarity to the surface of the moon. It’s no wonder NASA brought their first astronauts to the crater to train them on how to operate their dune boogies on the moon. As the sun begins to set, you will notice how the crater will change colors. It’s definitely an unforgettable experience! You will then enjoy a beautiful journey down the mountain on your way back to your resort.

Participants who depend on the use of walkers or wheelchairs: This tour can accommodate those with special needs who require wheelchair access, provided the request is made at least 72 hours prior to tour start time.

This Activity Provider adopts a STRICT 48-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY. Cancellations MUST be received 2 days prior to your tour, NO EXCEPTIONS! You may call us at 808-707-7260 two days prior to your tour date so we can refund the total paid on your tour. There will be NO REFUNDS to cancellations made in less than 3 days or to those who NO-SHOW to their tour.
