Get ready for a journey into the wild heart of Hawaii! Maui Ocean Riders are family-owned and operated since 1988. This adventure is their flagship tour, a full-day Lanai adventure, the only one that circumnavigates Lanai’s beautiful island and is one of Maui’s most sought-after rafting tours! This adventure will take you on an unforgettable journey to areas very few have the opportunity to enjoy. You will smoothly cross the AuAu Channel on their fast and comfortable 28-feet twin 250hp powered Mercury Outboards engines. With a maximum of 18 passengers (during the COVID-19, they will be taking a maximum of 12 passengers). It is a ridge-hull inflatable H.B.I. designed to be used by the military for search and rescue teams, and it’s the only one of its kind on Maui.
Their crew will see that you experience their “Aloha” and want to come back for more. Soon after taking off, you will enjoy a light breakfast snack. While on your way to Lanai, your crew will get you fitted for your snorkeling gear and offer a snorkeling lesson for first-time snorkelers or anyone who would like a refresher class. By the time you arrive at the first snorkeling site, you will be ready to explore! Keep your eyes open for spinner dolphins, flying fish, monk seals, and Humpback Whales (in season).
You will be in awe everywhere you look, mostly once you start cruising around Lanai, as you glide over blue waters by towering sea cliffs, lava rocks, a WWII shipwreck, sea caves, and even swim to a secret white sand beach that can only be reached from the boat!
Weather permitting, this tour will also offer multiple snorkeling sites where no other boats will be, making it a very secluded and crowd-free experience! A delicious deli-style lunch will be served at one of the stops. Beverages are also available throughout your day.
Your return to Maui is usually around 2:30 PM. However, this time is not set on stone, as your captain will not want to rush the tour. One of the things you will undoubtedly notice about this tour is that your captain and crew love what they do!
