What to wear or bring
All participants MUST wear close-toed shoes. No sandals, slippers, or Crocs. We recommend wearing shorts and a T-shirt (be aware you might get really dirty and muddy).
We recommend bringing sunscreen, a camera, and sunglasses.
Restrictions
IMPORTANT: All drivers MUST be at least 18 years old and present a valid Government-issued driver’s license.
Maximum weight per vehicle: 900 lbs
Passenger’s minimum age: 7
Other Important Disclosures:
- All drivers MUST be 18 with a valid driver’s license.
- People with recent surgeries or neck/back/knee problems are not permitted.
- Due to the nature of the tour, pregnant women are not permitted.
- No people with serious health conditions are allowed on tours.
- Drivers MUST be over 25 to drive minors under 18.
- NO alcohol, drugs, or smoking is permitted on the tour. Guides can refuse guests if they suspect a driver may be intoxicated.
- Drivers are responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused by failing to adhere to safety protocols while operating the vehicle.
- Any rollover that occurs will be a $200 fee for the complete vehicle inspection to determine the extent of any damage.
- All repair costs above $200 will be charged to the driver.
- Tours operate regardless of the weather. The tour goes out RAIN or SHINE. Bring a light jacket in case rain is in the forecast

This tour goes out rain or shine, and you should definitely expect to get dirty and sometimes soaking wet. The weather by the West Maui Mountains changes very frequently, so wear something you won’t mind finding mud stains on. Your driving will dictate how dirty you will get, but should it rain… oh well… you know what to expect then. There are no showers to get cleaned up after, but sinks and paper towels to wash your hands, arms, and face. If you have a long drive back to your resort, you might want to stop by one of Lahaina’s beach parks, take a dip in the ocean and a freshwater shower before hitting the road.
Your guides get to dictate the pace of your tour. They are very familiar with the terrain and love to get a thrill, but they will always keep your safety as their highest priority. The land you are getting the privilege to explore, called ‘Aina in Hawaiian, is also to be respected and preserved, so you will need to adhere to your guides’ directions and drive where it’s permitted. You will also need to wear the gear you provide, such as gloves, helmets, dust masks, etc. Ponchos will be available upon request.
