This incredible tour will take you cruising down Maui’s sparkling blue waters to find these beautiful giants. Pacific Whale Foundation certified Marine Naturalists will be narrating about the Humpback’s behavior, characteristics throughout your ride, and you will get the opportunity to watch interactions between mothers and calves, the competition of males for the attention of the females, and much more! As a bonus, your boat will be featured with underwater hydrophones, so you can hear the Humpback songs.

More about your Whale Watching cruise…
You will check-in at the Pacific Whale Foundation store located at the Maalaea Village Shop, next to the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium. Soon after you will be greeted by a PWF crew member, who will give you some important information regarding your tour and walk the group to the Maalaea harbor, where you will board their power-catamaran for this awesome cruise!
As you depart Maalaea Harbor you will have awesome views of Mount Haleakala, West Maui Mountains, Molokini, Kahoolawe, and of course, the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific. Your captain will be contacting other boat captains in the area to find out where the whales are the most active. Meanwhile certified Marine Naturalist will be narrating on the Humpback Whales’ behavior and characteristics, how the mothers interact with their calves, males fight for the attention of the females, etc.
You should keep your eyes open to your surroundings, as whales are not the only possible sightings. Maalaea Bay is home to the Honu or Hawaiian Sea Turtles, frequently spotted in the area. It’s also not unusual to see dolphins cruising in the area.
Upon returning to Maalaea Harbor you should swing by the PWF store to pick up your free Marine Wildlife oversize postcards. In the unlikely event, your tour does not encounter a single whale, the PWF staff will gladly schedule your party on another whale watch cruise free of charge.
