Experience one of the best snorkeling adventures on Maui, as you board one of Blue Water Rafting’s fast and sleek rafts and glide over the waters of Wailea and Makena, enjoying incredible views of Mount Haleakala towards remote Kanaio Coast and its incredible lava arches, sea caves that were formed by exploded molten lava from about 200 years ago. Weather permitting, you will get to snorkel at La Perouse Bay, a frequent hangout for spinner dolphins, sea turtles, and more! Next, you will head towards Molokini Crater, Maui’s most popular snorkeling and diving site, where you will enjoy crystal clear waters averaging 150 feet visibility. There are three possible snorkeling sites, the outer reef, the inside rim, and the backside of the crater. Your captain will choose which location or all of them, depending on ocean conditions, currents, etc. From Molokini, you will head to Makena where you will enjoy lunch and snorkel at a reef known to be home to the “honu” (Hawaiian Sea Turtles), and a variety of tropical fish.
