HOW CAN I MAKE A RESERVATION?
There are two ways you can make your tour reservation: by placing an online order on our Website 24/7 or by calling our concierge lines at 808-707-7260 during our business hours of 8 AM - 5 PM H.S.T., seven days a week.
SHOULD I BOOK MY ACTIVITIES ONLINE OR OVER THE PHONE?
Whatever is your preference, we are here to help! Our concierges will be thrilled to get your call to answer any questions you might have and to give you up-to-the-minute availability information, not available in our website calendars. We highly recommend you call us, especially if you are already on Maui and looking for an activity within the next couple of days or visiting us during peak seasons such as summer, spring break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, etc.
WHEN CAN I SPEAK TO A LIVE CONCIERGE?
Our concierges are available daily from 8 AM until 5 PM H.S.T. at 808-707-7260, and they would love to hear from you! Should you call during business hours, and your call goes to voicemail, it means we are busy with other guests. In that case, please leave us a message, and a concierge will return your call shortly. If you require us to return your call to a hotel or condominium, please make sure to leave your full name and unit number so that the operator will put our call through.
WHY BOOK NOW AND NOT AFTER WE ARRIVE ON MAUI?
Maui is one of the world’s top vacation destinations, and most of our top activities sellout year-round. To make sure you get into the activities you have been planning on and minimize the potential stress and disappointment during your vacation, we highly recommend considering booking your activities as soon as you have confirmed airline and hotel reservations. When you book with us, you will be taking advantage of our flexible refund policy and will be able to get a refund for most activities up to 48 hours before their start time.
WHY SHOULD I GIVE YOU MY PHONE NUMBER, HOTEL, AND OTHER INFORMATION?
We ask for your contact information at home and during your vacation for no other reason than to better serve you. We make every attempt to contact you as soon as we become aware of any information that would affect your Maui holiday. We must know your correct arrival and departure dates, the best phone number before and during your vacation, your hotel or condominium, etc. The more ways we have to reach you, the faster we can update you on any unforeseen situations.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY ACTIVITY TICKETS/VOUCHERS?
Our Concierge Department will email your voucher(s) to you as soon as we confirm your reservation with the Activity Provider. We issue a VOUCHER for each activity, which is valid for all persons participating in it. We kindly ask that you review all information (date, time, number of participants, etc.) on your voucher(s) to check for accuracy. Please be sure to call us at 808-707-7260 as soon as possible, should you find any errors or discrepancies.
ONCE I MAKE AN ONLINE ACTIVITY RESERVATION, IS IT AUTOMATICALLY CONFIRMED?
Online reservations can only be confirmed once a concierge processes your order by calling a vendor and getting a confirmation from them. Although we make every effort to maintain our calendars updated with the vendors’ availability, there have been instances when we were unable to confirm the activity as ordered. In the unlikely chance of this happening to you, one of our concierges will contact you with the available options (date, time, different tour, etc.) so you can decide how to proceed with your reservation. If we do not find an alternate tour to your satisfaction, we will void the hold placed on your credit card, and no charges will be processed. To reiterate, in the event your activity is not available, your card will NOT be charged unless, of course, you agree to the alternatives we offer you.
WILL I GET A REFUND IF I DECIDE TO CANCEL MY ACTIVITY?
Yes, provided you abide by the refund policy that applies to your purchased tour(s). Best of Maui Activities requires you to contact us at least 48 hours before the start time of your tour so that we can cancel it and issue a full refund. With that said, some Activity Vendors carry a refund policy that requires more advanced notice, while some do not allow any refunds once the reservation is confirmed. Whenever an activity’s cancellation policy differs from ours, we will clearly show it on that activity page on our website as well as on your voucher. The vendor’s policy will always supersede our 48-hour policy. We pledge to you we will do everything in our power to get a vendor to authorize a refund, should you be outside their requirement; however, the final decision remains the vendor’s and not ours.
HOW CAN I CANCEL MY TOUR(S)?
You must CALL our Concierge desk lines at 808-707-7260, at least 48 hours before your tour start time. If you call outside our business hours (8 AM - 5 PM daily), you MUST leave a detailed message. A concierge manager will return your call as soon as one is available. You may also send us an email to agent@bestofmauiactivities.com. To ensure you receive the most prompt service, we highly recommend that you call us during our business hours.
WHAT IF THE ACTIVITY CANCELS FOR ANY REASON?
If an Activity Provider cancels your tour for any reason before its start time (weather, mechanical, etc.,) you will be entitled to a full refund. Should your activity cancel after its start time and before its completion, the Activity Provider will determine the ticket percentage, which should be refunded. This determination is solely made by the vendor, and our Vendor Agreement requires we abide by their decision. To avoid any delays in your receiving the refund due to you, we kindly ask you to CALL us at 808-707-7260. Please DO NOT rely on the vendor to contact us, as more often than not, they don’t, which might delay you receiving your refund.
CAN I MAKE A RESERVATION AND PAY WHEN I ARRIVE AT THE ACTIVITY?
Yes and no. Yes, you can make a reservation by calling our Concierge lines at 808-707-7260; however, we will require that you provide us with your contact information and a valid credit card so that you can guarantee your reservation. You will have to agree to the cancellation policy of the activity you want to book and make full payment before the activity date. You must take responsibility for the total price should you no-show or fail to contact us to cancel your tour outside the cancellation period.
WHAT IS INCLUDED ON THE ACTIVITY PRICE?
The advertised price we display on the website is for one (1) adult, before adding applicable taxes or fees. Online, you will see the total cost once you add your activity to the cart. Over the phone, your concierge will go over the breakdown of the cost with you. Your voucher will show the total cost of your activity, including all applicable taxes and fees, and will match the price charged to your credit card(s).
DO YOU CHARGE A BOOKING FEE?
Our concierge services are free of charge. We add a 3% charge to discount activities, which helps us offset the cost of our credit card processing fees. This charge does not apply to regularly priced tours. We promise you our rates will never be higher than the vendors’ retail rates
DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS TO MILITARY, KAMAAINAS, SENIORS, OR CHILDREN?
We offer the lowest possible prices, based on the rates we have negotiated with our Activity Providers. We set our pricing according to the vendors’ policies. Most of them offer discounted prices for children ages 12 and under, while some also offer senior discounts. Vendors don’t always offer Military and Kamaaina discounts; if they do offer and we are unable to, we will gladly let you know.
IS GRATUITY INCLUDED?
Unless specified on your voucher, gratuities you may want to give to your server, guide, or crew member are NOT included. As with most occupations in the service industry, wages are low, and gratuities make up for a significant portion of their income. We encourage you to be generous to those who are doing their best to make your activity the most fun. We also believe tips are to be earned and not expected, so please use your discretion.
IS TRANSPORTATION INCLUDED?
Unless specified on the activity page on our website and your voucher, activities do NOT include transportation. Most sightseeing tour companies do offer pick up service at most south and west Maui hotels and condominiums. The great majority of tours, such as luaus, dinner cruises, snorkeling tours, zipline, etc., do not offer transportation.
SHOULD I RENT A CAR WHILE ON MAUI?
Yes. We highly recommend those who are licensed to drive to rent a car while on Maui. The average taxi, shuttle, or ridesharing rates to get you to and from the airport to your lodging will probably cost you the same or more than a 2-day car rental rate. Please call us at 808-707-7260 and inquire about our special car rental rates on Maui. Please check with your hotel or condominium for their parking rates (if any) and be sure to bring proper seats if bringing children under age 8. Rental car rates usually do not include insurance.
HOW DO I GET DIRECTIONS TO MY ACTIVITIES?
We will send you all directions and links to the location of your activities via email, the same email that has your activity vouchers attached to it. We promise to do our very best to help you so you can arrive on time at your events; however, it is your responsibility to have directions and know how much driving time to allow yourself to get there. Please do not hesitate to call us if you are lost, can’t find the email with the directions, or need any other assistance in getting to your events.
WHAT IF I CANNOT PRINT MY ACTIVITY VOUCHER(S)?
Not a problem! If getting your voucher printed is in any way an inconvenience, we just ask that you’d contact our Concierge desk by phone, email, or chat to let us know. We will be happy to forward your voucher(s) to the Activity Providers on your behalf.
IS THERE A “CATCH” TO GETTING YOUR DISCOUNTED PRICES?
No, there’s NO CATCH! Best of Maui Activities offers competitive pricing without ANY affiliation with Timeshare or any other sales presentations. “What you see is what you get,” without any hoops to jump!
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE PERSONS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS?
We will be more than happy to assist you with any of your particular needs. We kindly ask that you call us at 808-707-7260 between 8 AM and 5 PM H.S.T. to speak with one of our concierges, who will address your specific situation and guide you to the best available options.
DO YOU OFFER ACTIVITIES I COULD NOT FIND ON YOUR WEBSITE?
Yes! We have contracts with most Maui Activity Providers and might not have had the opportunity to add all of their products. We kindly ask you to call us at 808-707-7260 and inquire of your concierge about any activities you could not find on our website. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
DO YOU OFFER GROUP RATES?
Please call us at 808-707-7260 and let your concierge know about your group and the activities you would like to enjoy. We will be happy to give you the best possible rates. Please keep in mind that Maui vendors will only consider a special rate for groups of at least twenty (20) adults.
WE ARE CELEBRATING A SPECIAL OCCASION. CAN YOU HELP ME ARRANGING IT?
We would love to! Our concierges enjoy the opportunity to assist every guest in making their vacation the most special! We will be happy to make a special request from our vendors; however, we cannot guarantee the outcome.
CAN I WATCH WHALES YEAR-ROUND?
Suppose one of your goals is to watch Hawaii’s famous Humpback whales. In that case, you must come to Hawaii between December and May, our official whale season, when these majestic ocean giants arrive from Alaska to mate and give birth to their calves in the warm Hawaii waters.
ARE THERE TOURS WHICH CAN SAFELY ACCOMMODATE SMALL CHILDREN?
There are several land, air, and ocean tours that welcome small kids. Some offer kids six and under free of charge. Please call us at 808-707-7260 (8 AM - 5 PM H.S.T.) and talk to one of our concierges, who will be happy to assist you and give you further details.
WHEN IS MAUI’S PEAK SEASON?
Maui is one of the topmost visited islands in the World. In addition to our faithful U.S. Mainland and Canadian travelers, Hawaii has become a sought after international destination for visitors from Europe, Asia, South, and Central America, making it a year-round destination. Our peak visitor seasons from the U.S. and Canada are our summer, from June through mid-August, spring break, holidays such as Thanksgiving and Easter, not to mention Christmas and New Year holidays, our busiest of them all! If you want to avoid the crowds, a good option might be May, September, or October. If you're planning on visiting Hawaii during the busy season, be sure to book extra early as some of our top activities sell out weeks ahead. Car rental rates also get a lot higher the closer you get to the peak seasons. Ocean water temperature ranges from 72F in winter to 80F in the summer, so the water is never too cold or too hot, ever!
I AM NOT AN AVID SNORKELER. SHOULD I JUST SNORKEL AT THE BEACH?
After many years of living on Maui, we can attest that most snorkeling incidents have happened on our beaches. Customers have to deal with the surf and ocean currents while on snorkeling boat tours, they enjoy safe snorkeling sites. All snorkeling tours will give you a beginner’s lesson, provide you with sanitized equipment, and have a certified lifeguard in the water to observe and assist their guests.
CAN I TRAVEL BETWEEN ISLANDS ON A FERRYBOAT?
The only ferry service offered in Hawaii is from the island of Maui and Lanai. You can only travel between major Hawaiian islands by air with Hawaiian or Southwest Airlines.

We collect your payment and, in turn, pay the Activity Providers while keeping a small percentage of the purchase price as our commission. We offer our customers the best possible rates, which we have negotiated with our Maui vendors, along with free expert services of our concierges who are Hawaii residents and know the ins and outs of our beautiful Island. We desire to make your vacation the most memorable. We love what we do! You'll notice we offer discounts on several tours; those tours we cannot discount will NEVER cost you more than the retail rate provided by the Activity Provider, guaranteed.
